#TheFrontStepsProject

"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members."

~Coretta Scott King

We are living in a time of unknown futures and self distancing. This is an unprecedented time in our lives. As a newborn photographer, I typically spend hours every week capturing families witnessing the joy new life brings. Unfortunately, I can’t do that right now.

But when was the last time that your family was all home together for a long period of time?

I’ve joined #thefrontstepsproject with the idea of capturing the faces of families in my community on their front steps. I aim to highlight our community during a time when we might not see each other at the grocery store, coffee shop or gym. As we Stay Home, we lose the connections we shared by simply being out-and-about in town. But even if we are separated, we are In This Together.

I am offering my neighbors short Front Step Portraits, and in return I ask for a good faith effort to donate to the local food pantry or to pay it forward to someone else in a way that is meaningful. Here are some of the wonderful families that participated from March 2020 - June 1, 2020.
